I've been there 4 times in the last week. First 2 times I blanked and didn't see any caught. Day before yesterday I caught 4 in the first 20 minutes all of them nice. Yesterday I only caught 1 but seen 3 others caught all on anchovies. Caralina rigged with a 1/2 ounce wieght. Its fun but I've come to the conclusion That I don't know much about the aquaduct.

Fishing is off the hook at Conroe with all the nice weather lately. With the good weather brings the recreational boaters. Stay north of the 1097 bridge for your best shot. Fish the banks of the main finger north-west of the 1097 bridge. Once you catch a fish stay in that area and fish 50 yards in either direction. Best luck has been using shallow crank baits in shad color casting at the shore. Use a very slow retrieve. Make sure to set the hook when you feel the line pull back.

I think everyone has caught a pig here and there but some are sacking up big weights 3olbs plus and others 12 to 15 lbs. creature baits, speed traps, rattle traps, senkos, flick shake, swimbaits, have been the most in common bait I have heard from the pro's I've talked to. I think the weights will top last years stop but only time will tell. Well make sure to watch it via internet http://flwserieswest.flwoutdoors.com/ ...

Clear Lake is tough for its standards, but people are averageing 12 to 24 fish a day. Slow rolling swimbaits over in Rattle Snake over rock piles is catching some of the bigger limits and burning a crank bait deep in the rocks is doing good. for numbers just throw spider jigs and drop shot. Good luck
