Lake has dropped significantly over last 2 weeks. Overall it has dropped about 8-10ft since its fullest. The bite is still good with many fish between 3 & 5lbs and many bigger ones out and about. Lizards, Worms, Spinerbaits, and cranks are all working great. Watch out for underwater obstacles as the algae bloom is still staining the the topwater pretty good.

Lake is dropping like a rock, lots of fish being caught on everything. Shad is everywhere, in the kern county 2 day tournament this weekend just shy of 42lbs won it, I caught fish in both forks on cranks, worms, and alot of people caught them on Tp water. 23lbs came off of the rock pile in the south fork on Sunday with cranks, I think they stayed there all day. Lots of big fish being caught, 30lbs was big weight for day one, and I think bif fish was over 11lbs too. Flip fish were caught it was fun.

The lake is up quite a bit! Saturday we started in the south fork and caught 3 fish between 2 and 3 pounds on senkos and drop shots. The wind began to pick up early so we decided to do some shallow cranking and were able to pull off a 2 more that were about 3 pounds. The bite wasnt bad saturday, we caught fish flipping, drop shotting, cranking, and senkos. The wind picked up quite abit with the bite turning on a lot in the evening.

Sunday morning the lake was pretty windy until 10:00 and died off for a few hours. Caught 4 right off the bat crankin rocky point. By 8:30 I couldnt get bit but before leaving caught one more at the auxillary damn on a triple trout.

water temp 60-62
clarity: North Fork - murky
South Fork- 4-5 ft visability

I am glad to see rodman offering help. There are some people who like to catch DINKS and you are right rod. You can sure help people catch dinks. Report back to fish-skin When and if you catch a fish over 2 lbs this year. good luck. Rod there is a guy that comes into your work that cant seem to ever catch 5 in a tournament not saying any names T.G. Maybe you can help him rodman. Hey rod do you charge people to go out and catch dinks?

Bite is picking up this week! Caught 9 fish and only fished from 6:30 till 11:00am. Caught 5 along rocky point cranking and throwing giant predator worms. ( thanks dennis & chris) I also caught a few more on hula grubs with 1/2 oz. jig heads. Water still a little chilly but is warming up each week. Have fun!

Bass have started to show signs of life in shallower water. Anglers reported better action this week than in the couple months. With this weather spawning is right around the corner.
